Good news for all “Sex and the City” fans: Production on the third season of the spin-off “And Just Like That…” is starting.

Something is happening again on the set of “And Just Like That…”. This is what the most recent ones point to Instagram posts from Sarah Jessica Parker (59), Cynthia Nixon (58) and Kristin Davis (59). All three have shared photos of their scripts, which were once again written by author Michael Patrick King (69).

New characters and some farewells

“Here we go”, wrote Carrie Bradshaw actress Parker. In addition, a new actress is on board the popular “Sex and the City” spin-off: Rosie O’Donnell (62) is joining the cast, as an HBO Max spokesman has already announced. She also posted a script photo and a selfie and wrote on Instagram: “Here comes Mary.” This is a new character who has not yet appeared in the previous two seasons. Details about Mary are not yet known.

The two actresses Nicole Ari Parker (53) and Sarita Choudhury (57) were also linked in the posts and will also be part of the new episodes. The two play the roles Lisa Todd Wexley and Seema Patel. Anthony actor Mario Cantone (64) is also still there.

Sara Ramírez (48) aka Che Diaz and Karen Pittman (37) aka Nya Wallace will no longer play a role in “And Just Like That…”. The end of the series for the two has been known for a long time.

Season three won’t come until 2025

But even though filming now seems to be starting in New York, fans still have to be patient. Season three of “And Just Like That…” isn’t due out until 2025. The reason: The major strike by the scriptwriters and actors had slowed down the production of the series.

The “Sex and the City” spin-off returned to screens with the premiere edition in December 2021. Viewers and fans experienced an emotional reunion with the iconic characters Carrie Bradshaw (Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Nixon) and Charlotte York Goldenblatt (Davis).
