Unicredit President announces new legal form for Hypo-Vereinsbank – Business

Pier Carlo Padoan, head of the Unicredit supervisory board, calls for new debt rules, praises the right-wing Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and announces changes for the German subsidiary Hypo-Vereinsbank.

Pier Carlo Padoan, 73, lives in Rome. He was Italian Finance Minister from 2014 to 2018 and is now chairman of the supervisory board of the second largest Italian bank Unicredit, which does a quarter of its business in Germany through its German subsidiary Hypo-Vereinsbank.
