Ukraine under constant fire – Russia is increasingly hitting civilian targets – Politics

It’s a depressing number from a Ukrainian point of view: While Ukraine can at best fire 6,000 shells a day at Russian positions, the Russians dropped 45,000 shells in one day in the Luhansk region alone, according to Chief of Staff Valery Zalushny. This superiority in artillery has enabled Moscow, despite the often modest performance of its infantry, to end up inflicting daily casualties on Ukrainian units of 100 men, pushing back the Ukrainians and outnumbering them by up to seven to one in eastern Ukraine’s villages and towns of the Luhansk region to conquer.
