This clip is supposed to show a mishap of a Russian tank driver.
With its cannon, the tank overthrows several comrades who are sitting on a second vehicle – and, after they have got to their feet, make off.
The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine posted the video, which was probably filmed as early as October 2022, on Twitter – the clip was viewed more than 670,000 times within a few days.
The accompanying text states:
“The greatest threat to mobilized Russian infantry is mobilized Russian tankers.”
The clip is accompanied by laughter and music reminiscent of a slapstick film – apparently to ridicule the soldiers involved and the Russian army and to portray them as incompetent.
The Ministry did not provide any further information on the time and place of admission. It is also not known why the fallen soldiers flee after the mishap.
The video makes it clear that the war in Ukraine is being waged not only on the battlefield but also on social media.
