Ukraine-News: Wagner founder accuses top Russian politicians of high treason

Greenpeace and the environmental organization Ecoaction have documented nearly 900 cases of severe environmental damage in Ukraine as a result of the Russian attack on the country. The organizations are calling for a program to be put in place now to eliminate hazards and restore nature and the environment. “More attention must be paid to the environmental destruction caused by the war,” warns Denys Zuzayev, an expert with Greenpeace Central and Eastern Europe, in a statement. The organizations presented an interactive map with the most serious cases. Examples are large-scale forest fires after rocket hits, toxic gases from bombed power plants or oil pollution in the Black Sea. “It will take significant financial resources, measures and commitment to restore nature and the environment. These funds must be made available now and not only after the end of the war,” said Zuzayev.
