Kremlin chief Putin is convinced of a victory for Russia against Ukraine. “I am sure that step by step we will achieve all our goals,” he said in a televised meeting in front of the military. He rates the war as valuable experience for the further development of his own military and compares it with the Patriotic War of 1812 against Napoleon and with the First and Second World Wars.
In his speech, Putin calls for a faster upgrade and modernization of the armed forces. As an example, cites the use of drones, a weakness of the Russian armed forces. According to Putin, drones must be available at all levels of warfare. “Every soldier must have the opportunity to get information from drones.” There are “no financial restrictions” on the further upgrading of the army.
