Two police officers were seriously injured by bullets in the police station in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. The events took place shortly before 10:30 p.m. after the arrest of a man. According to a source close to the case, the attacker had just been arrested for violence. The officials were searching him when he grabbed the gun from one of them and shot him in the abdomen and legs.
One of the two agents was transferred to Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital. The vital prognosis of one of the police officers is in jeopardy, indicated a source close to the case. The exact sequence of events is not yet known. Paris police chief Laurent Nunez went to the scene around midnight and could speak. Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau was also on site.
