Two players targeted by gunfire

According to the information ofEurope 1confirmed by RMC Sport, two Olympique de Marseille players were victims of a violent carjacking attempt. The events occurred during the night from Sunday to Monday, around 4 a.m., upon returning from their trip to Le Havre. OM ended their season there with a 2-1 victory.

A few minutes after leaving the OM training center, where their vehicles were parked, Jean Onana and Faris Moumbagna were the subject of an attempted armed robbery.

The two men accelerated and managed to escape, but the criminals did not hesitate to fire. The vehicles reportedly had bullet holes. Bamo Meïté, who followed them in a club vehicle, was not targeted.

An investigation has been opened. The attacker(s) were not arrested.
