Two people suspected of tags on the cathedral and the town hall of Amiens released

“The revolution in progress”, “Democracy? “, “State violence”… These messages had been inscribed on a low wall facing the cathedral and the facade of the town hall of Amiens, in the Somme, on March 20, on the sidelines of a demonstration against the pension reform .

A man and a woman, aged 25, were arrested after the demonstration, suspected of being the authors of these tags. They were finally released, this Friday, by the court of Amiens, according to Mail Picard.

During the trial which took place on Monday, the lawyer for the two defendants, Me Sonia Houzé, had indicated that zoomed-in photos, taken in a group of 1,500 people, did not constitute proof. She was heard by the judge who pronounced the release for the two accomplices.

They had been suspected based on CCTV footage.
