A strike by drivers will disrupt TGV traffic on the North axis, between Paris and Lille in particular this weekend, December 18 and 19, franceinfo learned from SNCF and the unions on Friday December 17. Two out of three TGVs will be in circulation. However, SNCF assures that 100% of travelers whose trains are canceled will be able to switch to the trains that are running. Otherwise they will have the possibility of having their ticket refunded.
The strike notice filed by the 3 unions (CGT, UNSA, SUD) has been running since December 11 at 8 p.m., it is renewable every 24 hours. Monday, the movement had been well followed but less the rest of the time.
Friday, traffic was disrupted on the South-East axis, with only one TGV in two, i.e. “100 TGV less” in one day and “50,000 customers who could not take their train”, but which have been compensated at 200%, with reimbursement of the price of the ticket and a voucher of the same amount, “because it is a prejudice for them”, recognizes the CEO of SNCF Voyageurs.
