“Working is too long. “It is with this funny argument that one of the defendants explained himself about the series of burglaries started with his accomplice on September 11, 2020, narrated by The Parisian, after having denied the facts throughout the investigation. It all started with a car-jacking on the night of September 11 in Mée-sur-Seine (Seine-et-Marne). The two men approach a man who parks his Citroën C5, and ask him for the keys. Set off again at the wheel of the C5, the accomplices block a delivery truck ten hours later in Etang-la-Ville (Yvelines), hold up the driver and leave with around forty packages.
Over 28,000 euros in loot
They continue the same afternoon with two burglaries of pavilions in Saint-Germain-lès-Corbeil (Essonne), stealing 15,000 euros of money and jewelry. During the second flight, they are surprised by the owner, who chases them as far as the Ile-de-France and the A5 before getting stuck. But the two men don’t stop there.
After a three-day break, they did it again in Menecy and then in Villemoisson, robbing three houses for loot exceeding 13,000 euros, in wine and jewelry in particular. Added to this jackpot is an Audi A5 which will be found charred on September 18 in Saclay. The small team commits a last burglary on September 16, again in Saint-Germain-lès-Corbeil, before being arrested in flagrante delicto on September 19 by the Versailles police. The two men had not yet sold their booty and were carrying almost all of it in their car.
Confessions and apologies
