Two injured after hot air balloon crash with power line

An accident as rare as spectacular occurred on Saturday morning in Montauban-de-Bretagne, west of Rennes. As she was about to land in the town, a hot air balloon got stuck in a 20,000 volt power line. According to West France, the aircraft had taken off from the town of Quiou, in the Côtes-d’Armor, with six people on board. For a still undetermined reason, the ball got stuck in the electric cables located a few meters above the ground.

The six passengers who were in the basket were able to return to the mainland by their own means. Two of them, slightly affected, were taken care of by the Ille-et-Vilaine firefighters for superficial injuries. The electricity network was temporarily cut, the time of the intervention.
