Two girls aged 12 and 13 admit to stabbing a classmate to death

The drama shakes Germany. The body of 12-year-old Luise was found in Freudenberg on Sunday. Two days later, two pre-adolescent girls aged 12 and 13 are suspected of having killed this comrade of their entourage in the forest near the city located in western Germany, the Koblenz public prosecutor’s office announced on Tuesday.

The young victim “was killed by two girls she knew,” said Koblenz (west) prosecutor Mario Mannweiler at a press conference. The two suspects “gave information about the case and finally confessed to the facts”, said Florian Locker, Koblenz police chief, at the same conference.

Suspects not criminally responsible

“The two suspects are under the age of 14 and are therefore not criminally responsible,” added Mario Mannweiler, stressing the “exceptional and shocking” nature of the facts. He did not give details on the supposed reasons for their gesture, nor on the identity of the two suspects.

Luise’s parents had alerted the police on Saturday evening, three hours after the disappearance of their daughter who had not returned home.
