two employees of a McDonald’s in Tours assaulted by a customer

Two employees of a McDonald’s restaurant located in Tours (Indre-et-Loire) were assaulted by a man on Wednesday. The facts took place around 2:30 p.m. The man reportedly showed up at the entrance to the fast food restaurant and refused to present his health pass to an employee, reports The New Republic.

“We saw blood, we were all in shock”

However, he would not have specified whether he had one or not. After the employee’s request, the man reportedly got angry and punched his face violently. All this in front of the restaurant’s customers. “We saw blood, we were all in shock,” said a young mother, present during the events with her 6-year-old daughter. “There were other children, they were very scared too,” she added.

Other McDonald’s employees quickly went to their injured colleague for help. They then removed the man responsible for the beating from the entrance to the restaurant. But outside, another employee was injured. The man allegedly hit him in the face as well. When the police arrived on the scene, he had already fled. According to The New Republic, the perpetrator is said to be homeless.
