A threat that does not weaken. Prime Minister Gabriel Attal affirmed this Monday that two attack plans had been “foiled” in France since the start of 2024. “The Islamist terrorist threat is real, it is strong” and “it has never been weakened,” said the Prime Minister during a visit to Saint-Lazare station in Paris, after the Vigipirate system was raised to its maximum level.
He also announced that “exceptional resources” would be deployed “everywhere on the territory”, with “4,000 additional soldiers” placed “on alert”, after the Moscow attack claimed by the jihadist group Islamic State.
