The new “Battle of the Reality Stars” begins

Tough confrontations in front of a paradisiacal backdrop: RTLzwei heralds a new round in the “Battle of the Reality Stars”. This year there is also a “son of…”.
The “Battle of the Reality Stars” is entering the next round. This Wednesday (April 10th, 8:15 p.m.) starts at RTLzwei the fifth season. The show, which can be seen in advance on the streaming service RTL+, promises “up to 32 percent more drama than in previous years” and “the Olympic Games of noble trash”. Motto: “It will rattle.”
This year the son of actress Uschi Glas, Ben Tewaag, is also there. “It must have been a weak moment that I agreed to do this,” he says in episode one, in which he also admits: “First and foremost, people know me through my mother.” And that shaped him. “The whole issue of Son of has – I honestly admit – led to a rebellion in me.” He also talks on the show about why he doesn’t drink alcohol anymore: “Because I’ve drunk alcohol for three times in my life – or four or five.”
Everyone is “somehow into it”
The 47-year-old film producer is one of 23 more or less prominent people who are taking part in the fifth season and are fighting for 50,000 euros in prize money. At the beginning he seems a bit lost and like an outsider in the trash cosmos, where everyone seems to know each other – but he doesn’t know anyone. He is also somewhat horrified that Austrian Elsa Latifaj (known from “Germany’s Next Top Model”) has never heard of her compatriot Falco. His preliminary conclusion: “You also get the impression that everyone is somehow into it.”
In addition to Tewaag, actress Jenny Elvers (“Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”) is also part of the new cast. Also taking part are Tiktok star Noah Cremer (“noahbibbles”), “Prince Charming” participant Kevin Schäfer, Frisian Instagram star Keno Veith (“deschwattenostfreesjung”), “Big Brother” participant Valencia Stöhr, Maurice Dziwak, known from “Love Island” and “Sommerhaus der Stars”, as well as the jungle camp veterans Cecilia Asoro and Tanja Tischewitsch.

On the beach in Thailand, the German celebrities are now fighting for the prize in various action and skill games with tactics and probably also intrigue. The show will be hosted by Cathy Hummels for the fifth time.
“The role of presenter on ‘Battle of the Reality Stars’ and the Hour of Truth is a very strict role, but of course it was deliberately done that way and also consciously implemented that way because the Hour of Truth is very exciting and also very serious.” said presenter Hummels before the start of the German Press Agency show in Munich. “I love acting, but I also love moderating and doing my own events. If there is an offer that fits, where I say it suits me, then I can imagine doing that in the future .”
