The maypole accident in Going am Wilden Kaiser now has an impact on the filming of “Der Bergdoktor”.

The maypole accident in Going am Wilden Kaiser in the Austrian Tyrol actually has an impact on the production of the new episodes of “Der Bergdoktor”. On April 30th, a maypole fell over in the filming location due to a gust of wind. The tree trunk injured a seven-year-old boy and also caused considerable damage to the “Wilder Kaiser” inn, which also regularly serves the guests filming.

“The inn appears in every episode”

Pictures, which are available to the “Bild” newspaper, show the partially completely destroyed facade of the building. A spokeswoman for the production company ndF now explained to the paper: “The inn appears in every episode. The shooting schedule now has to be rearranged and changed somehow.” Filming for the 18th season began this week.

Lead actor Hans Sigl (54), who plays the doctor Martin Gruber, already shared a photo of the mountain scenery on Instagram, linked the “Wilder Kaiser” and wrote: “No words necessary.” He also used the hashtags #back and #again.

Hans Sigl wishes injured boy “get well soon”

The spokeswoman went on to say that “some solution” would be found. The most important thing is the well-being of the injured boy. The seven-year-old was riding a scooter on April 30th when he was hit by the maypole. as the Tyrol State Police Directorate announced. He was injured and taken to the hospital in Innsbruck by helicopter.

Sigl also wishes “the boy and everyone who was harmed a speedy recovery and all the best.” His series colleague Monika Baumgartner (72), who plays Lisbeth Gruber, also commented. She hopes that the damage to the house isn’t too severe: “Everything else will be organized.”

The extent of the damage is currently being determined by the police.
