Two chairs and a table in a small room – that’s all the moderator Kurt Krömer needs to sound out his guests. In the 6th season of “Chez Krömer”, Gregor Gysi and Deniz Yücel, among others, answer the entertainer’s questions.

A worn-out interrogation room, two people and 30 minutes of broadcasting time: In the 6th season of the rbb talk show “Chez Krömer”, six celebrities and politicians are again answering questions from moderator Kurt Krömer.

First, left-wing politician Gregor Gysi ventures into the show. Krömer talks to Gysi, among other things, about the confrontation with Sahra Wagenknecht about the Left Party’s position on the Ukraine war – and asks him about a possible exit from the party. It starts on March 21 with new episodes online and on March 22 (10:15 p.m.) on RBB Fernsehen, the third broadcaster of Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg.

Gysi joins a long line of political guests: In the previous seasons, Kevin Kühnert, Karl Lauterbach (both SPD), Philipp Amthor (CDU) and Boris Palmer (Greens) have already been seen. But comedians like Teddy Teclebrhan and musicians like Sido and Bushido have also been guests at “Chez Krömer”. The topics of the show are as varied as the interlocutors. Whether it’s party politics, equal rights or films, nothing goes unanswered at «Chez Krömer». One thing is certain: In the dimmed light of the interrogation room, things usually get personal.

This is also the case in the first episode of the 4th season, in which comedian Thorsten Sträter was a guest. Krömer and Sträter spoke very openly about their depressive episodes. The issue has been nominated for the Grimme Prize 2022 in the entertainment category.

Krömer himself suffered from depression for years. He got up in the morning and already had the feeling: “Shit, hopefully it will be evening again soon so that I can go to sleep again,” said the 47-year-old entertainer in a recent dpa interview. He has also written a book about his experiences. It says, “You mustn’t believe everything you think. My depression».

In the 6th season, too, there will certainly be room for serious topics again alongside all the comedy. After Gregor Gysi, viewers can look forward to journalist Deniz Yücel in the second episode. Choreographer Nikeata Thompson, Minister of Justice Marco Buschmann (FDP) and fashion designer Harald Glööckler will also answer Krömer’s questions in the new season.
