ZDF crime thriller precedes Silbereisen’s Advent show

“A strong team” wins the TV ratings on Saturday evening. Pop star Silbereisen and showmaster Gottschalk have to get in line behind them.

A crime thriller and contemplative was one of the most popular television programs during prime time on Saturday. That was because of the ratings ZDF with the Berlin crime series “A Strong Team” in the lead: 6.16 million tuned in (24.2 percent).

Behind it was the classic “The Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights”. Pop star Florian Silbereisen traditionally rings in the Advent season with the ARD show. This year’s guests included Maite Kelly, Mireille Mathieu – and the Nuremberg Christ Child. 5.03 million people watched this on television (21.5 percent).

A week after his “Wetten,dass..?” farewell, showmaster Thomas Gottschalk was seen on RTL on Saturday. There he performed “Disney 100 – The Big Anniversary Show” together with Victoria Swarovski. 1.62 million viewers chose this (6.9 percent).

1.57 million people wanted to see the music costume show “The Masked Singer” on ProSieben (6.7 percent). Vox showed the Christmas film “The Miracle of Manhattan” to 940,000 viewers (3.8 percent).

On Sat.1, 840,000 people watched the comedy “Childs Heads” (3.4 percent). RTLzwei showed the film “Last Samurai” to 630,000 viewers (2.6 percent). Another classic was shown on ZDFneo: “Gladiator” was watched there by 530,000 people (2.1 percent). Kabel eins had the crime thriller “FBI: Special Crime Unit” in its program and received 600,000 viewers (2.7 percent).
