Tuition fees at the TU Munich: Unfair and unnecessary – Munich

Tuition fees yes, but only for people from non-EU countries. According to the Technical University of Munich, this is justified. She doesn’t even need the money – and ends up scaring away valuable students with this form of discrimination.

At first you might think: Yes, that’s right, that people from China, Saudi Arabia or Brazil will have to pay 2,000 to 6,000 euros per semester in future to be able to study at the Technical University of Munich (TUM). After all, they benefit from the good living and teaching environment that is paid for with German tax money. But TUM’s decision to charge students from non-EU countries from autumn 2024 is wrong.
