Halftime Three serious mistakes, three easy goals: BVB and TSG invited each other in the first half. After a major mistake from Brooks, Füllkrug converted ice cold. Shortly afterwards, Hummels put himself in trouble with a bad pass, put Stach in the box – and Kramaric thanked him. While Hoffenheim showed a more mature playing system and acted with a clear plan offensively, Dortmund, who were puzzling, were able to look forward to another invitation: Baumann fended off a Malen cross too short, and Reus secured the half-time score.

22. Brandt hits the standard in the middle of the five, where Kabak rises highest and clears. Kramaric grabs the free ball and draws the foul so that his colleagues can calm down.

21. BVB was already 2-0! Malen dribbles from left to center, has time and space and plays into the lane. Reus started, but was a little late and missed the pass.

The central defender cannot control a teammate’s throw-in, loses the ball to Brandt in his own box – and he involuntarily gives the first contact to Füllkrug. The national player remains ice-cold in front of the goal and sinks a powerful ball into the right corner from eleven meters.
