A 71-year-old woman died in a traffic accident at Willibaldplatz in Laim on Monday afternoon. The fire and rescue services were alerted shortly before 2 p.m. that a woman had been run over by a truck. When the emergency services arrived, a first aider tried to resuscitate the woman. But the efforts of the professional emergency services were also in vain. The 71-year-old’s injuries were so severe that she died at the scene of the accident. The traffic police are now investigating the cause of the accident. The obviously shocked driver of the truck was looked after by crisis service employees.
