It is the first time in Philipp M.’s life that the former public prosecutor is on the prosecution side. The allegations against him are serious: on the night of March 27, 2019, he is said to have sexually abused his then eight-year-old son, with whom he was sleeping in the same bed. The next morning, the boy confided in his mother, who confronted her husband with the son’s stories. Philipp M. says he believes his son’s abuse, but he himself can’t remember – he was sleepwalking.
