Transport companies can apply for early advance payments – Bavaria

Even in the third year of the corona pandemic, Bavaria’s transport companies can apply for advance payments from the district governments. As the Ministry of Transport announced on Sunday, it is specifically about the first deduction for the compensation payments in training traffic. The Free State is thus making around 35 million euros available to the transport companies ahead of schedule to help secure their liquidity. Normally, the benefits could only be applied for on July 15th. The measure has proven itself in 2020 and 2021, said Bavaria’s new Minister of Transport Christian Bernreiter (CSU). The pandemic is still affecting public life and thus the number of passengers and the income of transport companies.

Meanwhile, the corona incidence in Bavaria has fallen slightly again. On Sunday morning, the Robert Koch Institute reported a value of 1,695.3 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in one week for the Free State. The day before it was 1708.2. Nationwide, Bavaria currently has the second highest value for corona incidences after Saxony-Anhalt (1803.5). The nationwide average on Sunday was 1240.3. The RKI reported a total of 26,638 new cases of infection in Bavaria. The number of deaths related to the corona virus since the beginning of the pandemic has increased by six to 21,313. The number of cases reported in Bavaria has stagnated at a high level in recent weeks.
