Transilien SNCF Voyageurs installs bicycle repair workshops in 35 stations in Île-de-France

Combining train and bicycle, the winning formula of the future? This is what Transilien SNCF Voyageurs thinks since on the occasion of the month of May by bike “, the transport company announced on Wednesday the opening of repair and advice workshops in 35 stations in the Ile-de-France region.

Whether you have a brake to tighten, a wheel to change, a derailleur to repair, it is possible to show up to solve all the little problems that everyday cyclists, like Sunday riders, are familiar with. And all for free.

308 workshops spread over 35 stations

“The bicycle is the most ecological means of transport to get to the station. But sometimes, this ally may need an overhaul: the brakes squeak, the wheel rubs, the chain derails,” the company explains in a press release. And it is to encourage the practice of two-wheelers and avoid its inconveniences that the 308 workshops spread over the 35 stations serving 13 train and RER lines are already available until October 31st.

Beyond repairs, the partner associations (SoliCycle, Véloservices, Au Petit Guidon, M2IE and Les Rayons – Régie de quartier de Stains) offer for sale a fleet of repaired bicycles as well as spare parts from donations and recycling in a recycling, circular economy and awareness-raising approach to reuse.

To find out which stations are concerned and their opening dates, Transilien SNCF Voyageurs offers a full schedule workshops on its website.
