Soccer professional Filip Kostic’s move from Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt to Italian top club Juventus Turin is perfect.
“The transfer is fixed. Thanks for everything, machine! Everything is fine in Italy,” said the Bundesliga club on Twitter. Kostic receives a contract in Turin until June 30, 2026. According to Juve, the transfer fee is twelve million euros plus incidental costs, plus possible success bonuses of three million euros.
Kostic did not want to extend his contract in Frankfurt, which was valid until 2023, and should therefore be sold. The 29-year-old Serb did not travel to Helsinki for Frankfurt’s Supercup defeat against Real Madrid (0-2) on Wednesday. In the previous year, Kostic had already forced his move to Lazio Rome with a strike, at that time unsuccessfully.
Four very successful years in the Frankfurt jersey ended for Kostic. In 2019, the club already reached the semi-finals in the Europa League. This year Eintracht triumphed after victories over FC Barcelona, West Ham United and Glasgow Rangers in the second highest European club competition and thus qualified for the Champions League. There could be a duel with the new Kostic club Juventus in the group phase.
