Benjamin Pavard will probably switch to Inter Milan – provided FC Bayern Munich finds a successor. A German national player should be a candidate.

Looking for a possible successor for the one who is willing to leave According to media reports, FC Bayern Munich has targeted Benjamin Pavard for a German national soccer player.

As reported by the “Münchner Abendzeitung” and the “Sportbuzzer” portal, among others, defender Lukas Klostermann is under discussion with the Bayern bosses. Klostermann’s contract with RB expires in the summer of 2024. In this transfer period, the Bundesliga club from Saxony could still receive a fee for the 27-year-old.

The German soccer record champion has allegedly already agreed with Inter Milan in exchange poker for the French world champion Pavard. Bayern should receive a fixed fee of 28 million euros plus five million euros in bonuses. The people of Munich will only finally agree to the transfer once a replacement has been found.

Klostermann was ousted on right-back by Benjamin Henrichs at RB. He was on the bench for 90 minutes in the 2-3 Bundesliga opener against Bayer Leverkusen. In the Supercup against Bayern, Klostermann only made one short appearance.

Pavard does not want to extend his contract on the Isar, which runs until summer 2024, and has been pushing for a farewell for weeks. However, coach Thomas Tuchel is fighting for the national player to stay. Most recently, Bayern had loaned defender Josip Stanisic to Leverkusen.
