In a tweet published at 6 o’clock this Tuesday morning, the TER Sud recalled “that today are starting the summer holidays and the Cannes Film Festival” and proposed “to travel” or to “take a tour on the Croisette” via its network in Paca. It was without counting on a giant blackout which caused “disturbances on the whole region” a few minutes later.
“Between Nice and Marseille, a power failure for the moment prevents the trains to pass”, indicated the SNCF on the strokes of 6:44. And specifies: “Our teams are doing everything possible to restore power and traffic as quickly as possible. “
Traffic conditions in the region are being reestablished.
Delays can be expected until 9 a.m.
