Trade tax – compensatory payments to four municipalities – district of Munich

The municipalities in the southern district of Munich will receive more than 3.5 million euros from the Free State to compensate for reduced income from trade tax in 2021. The constituency deputy Kerstin Schreyer from the CSU said: “The Free State of Bavaria keeps its word in these difficult times and compensates for about half of the reduced income from trade tax.” A total of 330 million euros are available for trade tax compensation throughout Bavaria. For 2020, to mitigate the consequences of the pandemic, the municipalities had received flat-rate compensation for declines in trade tax totaling almost 2.4 billion euros, of which 1.346 billion euros from the Free State of Bavaria. An advance payment of 200 million euros was paid on December 17, 2021 for quick help. For the final settlement, the trade tax revenue for 2021 was compared with the average revenue for the years 2017 to 2019, which were unaffected by the pandemic.

The following municipalities in the southern district will receive these final compensatory allocations from the Free State: Baierbrunn 1,592,210 euros, Brunnthal 52,525, Aying 415,511, Pullach 1,469,216, Sauerlach 19,566.
