Track bike – EM gold for women’s foursome – sport

After winning the Olympic gold in Tokyo, the women’s four-man track cycling team also won the European championships in the team pursuit. The quartet with Lisa Brennauer, Franziska Brauße, Mieke Kröger and the youngster Laura Süßemilch prevailed in Grenchen / Switzerland in the final against last year’s second Italy. The four-man set several world records in Tokyo and won Olympic gold in the team pursuit. On Wednesday the quartet won in 4: 13.489 minutes, it remained well above the world record of 4: 04.242 minutes.
