“Great duel”: Pogacar enjoys a duel with Vingegaard

Cycling superstar Tadej Pogacar enjoys a duel with rival Jonas Vingegaard at the Tour de France.

“I’m enjoying this fight against him for the third year in a row. It’s a great duel,” said the 24-year-old two-time Tour winner when the professionals had their second rest day at the Tour of France. Pogacar won them in 2020 and 2021, Vingegaard in 2022.

Both exceptional drivers meet each other publicly with respect. “We push each other, also to develop ourselves,” said Pogacar. He could not say which of the two is currently the psychologically stronger. With six stages remaining before the end of this year’s Tour in Paris, the Slovenian is just ten seconds behind Danish champion Vingegaard.
