Toulouse students send a letter to the princess

“Dear beautiful Princess Kate”, “We hope you are ok”… Fifth grade students from a middle school in Toulouse (Haute-Garonne) sent a letter to Kate Middleton this week.

It’s their English teacher, aka “Mr. Proff” which is a hit on social networks, who suggested that they get started… in the language of Shakespeare of course. “Our hearts are broken. Each of us here is with you during these difficult times and we sincerely hope that you recover quickly,” the children wrote in particular.

“We are also writing to you to tell you that we are thinking of you. You are a good princess and more than that, you are a good person. We love England and hope to visit you soon,” they add in this missive spotted by our colleagues from Gala. And the video which shows “Mister Proff” guiding them in writing their letter has already accumulated hundreds of thousands of views on Instagram and TikTok.

As a reminder, very popular with the British and a major asset for the British monarchy, Kate Middleton is now facing the ordeal of cancer. Last Friday, Prince William’s wife announced, in a video posted on her Instagram account, that she had cancer. Alone in front of the camera, the Princess of Wales explained that she was undergoing chemotherapy treatment. “I’m fine,” she assured, saying the next day that she was “extremely touched” by the messages of support received after her announcement.

“Mr. Proff” himself posted the postmarked letter to the address of Kensington Palace. A letter in which the students also have a word for King Charles III, who also suffers from cancer.
