Prince William and Duchess Kate will attend the film premiere of “Top Gun: Maverick” on May 19 in London.
Tom Cruise (59) can look forward to a few very special guests on the red carpet at the film premiere of “Top Gun: Maverick” in London. Prince William (39) and Duchess Kate (40) will attend the event on May 19 in London’s Leicester Square. This is reported by “People” magazine. However, it won’t be the first time the royals have seen the ‘Top Gun’ sequel on the big screen.
In early April, it was reported that Cruise personally invited the pair to a private screening of his new film. The Hollywood star is said to have rented the IMAX cinema in Leicester Square in London. In addition to William and Kate, other members of the British royal family are said to have been present, including Princesses Eugenie (32) and Beatrice (33) and Sophie of Wessex (57).
William is a big fan
According to The Sun the actor personally greeted the royal guests, hoping they would enjoy the film as much as he did filming. Tom Cruise is said to have had the idea of a private performance when he found out that Prince William was a big fan of the cult film.
