Family and band members mourn the loss of Tom Parker, lead singer of boy band The Wanted. The Brit suffered from a brain tumor and has now died. He was only 33 years old.

British singer Tom Parker has died aged 33. Parker, who was one of five members of the British-Irish boy band The Wanted, died on Wednesday of complications from a brain tumour, his wife Kelsey Hardwick said on the online network Instagram. “It is with a heavy heart that we confirm that Tom passed away peacefully this morning with his entire family by his side. Tom was the center of our world and we cannot imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence,” the actress wrote.

Parker, who hails from the North West of England, announced in October 2020 that he was suffering from an inoperable brain tumour. He underwent treatment and went on a reunion tour with the band in March. His four bandmates declared in one after his death Post on Instagram: “He was our brother. Words cannot express the loss and sadness we feel.”

Parker and Hardwick have two young children, one of whom was born after his cancer diagnosis. “I’ll be here,” he told OK! magazine at the time. “I will fight it.”

Formed in 2009, The Wanted had two UK number one hits, ‘All Time Low’ and ‘Glad You Came’. Numerous celebrities offered their condolences on Wednesday, including pop star Ed Sheeran and Take That’s Howard Donald.
