They lay flat and had to do the housework themselves: Tom and Bill Kaulitz report on their corona disease in the new episode of their podcast “Mustard from Hollywood”.

For Tom and Bill Kaulitz, the start of the new year went differently than planned: The twins fell ill with Covid-19 and had to be quarantined on New Year’s Eve. This is what the two 32-year-olds tell in the new episode of their podcast “Mustard from Hollywood”. The episode is titled “Quarantine instead of New Year’s Eve plans” and Tom and Bill Kaulitz report that they tested positive for Corona after the holidays. They don’t know where they got infected.

“We caught Covid, although we are extremely careful. Only mask, only distance, we don’t meet people outside the family. But with such a large family you never know who is bringing what when,” said Tom Kaulitz, den got it harder than his brother. While Heidi Klum’s husband was lying flat with a fever and chills, “like a bad flu”, Bill Kaulitz had a particularly severe sore throat.

Bill Kaulitz is annoyed that he missed the New Year’s Eve party

More than the infection, however, annoyed the singer that he missed a New Year’s Eve party with friends. “I thought I was dying. I was invited to a great party and was looking forward to it so much. I really wanted to crash again at the end of the year,” said Bill Kaulitz. He tested himself every day in the hope of still being able to take part in the party – but without success.

Instead, Bill and Tom Kaulitz spent the turn of the year in Heidi Klum’s house. The Kaulitz twins did not reveal whether the 48-year-old or one of her four children were also infected. Instead, they described how they ran the household for eight people. “I have the feeling we were just standing in the kitchen. The kids make so much mess,” said Bill. Cooking food, washing up, cleaning clothes, vacuuming, plus three dogs and dozens of plants: despite being ill, they were busy all day.

“We were real housekeepers,” summed up Bill Kaulitz. Without domestic help and staff, he would have learned more in everyday life: For example, that the bowls in the dishwasher should not be sorted with the opening facing up, because then all the water would collect.

Bill and Tom Kaulitz know how privileged the life they lead is. In the podcast they also talked about Christmas, when they drank boxes of red wine, ate deliciously and lolled on the sofa for days in pajamas and watched films. “We celebrate comfortably, very traditionally, but of course we also have a crazy bigwig’s Christmas. I don’t want to be that kind of family, but we’re pretty Beverly Hills. We’re the case, then a car is parked in front of it Door with a bow on it. That’s pretty awesome, “said Bill. The brothers did not tell who the car was for. Tom Kaulitz reported that Heidi Klum had given him a valuable necklace and Bill was happy about an original script for the series “Sex and the City”.
