Tölzer DAV hut: A night for the climate. – Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen

Members arriving by bike, train or bus can stay overnight at the Tölzer Hütte free of charge.

“Free night for the climate”: Under this motto, around 50 of the 190 mountain huts are involved in a campaign by the German Alpine Association (DAV), including the Tölzer Hütte am Schafreiter. DAV members can spend a night in a hut free of charge if they can prove by ticket that they have covered at least 90 percent of the distance from their place of residence using public transport. A combined journey by bike is also accepted, provided a bike ticket can be presented. The free overnight stay is valid for one night per guest in a dormitory or in a multi-bed room and must be registered with the landlord when making the reservation or upon arrival at the hut with the note “Free night for the climate”. The sleeping place must be reserved in advance.

The Tölzer Hütte in the Karwendel is suitable for day tours, but also for multi-day activities. A total of 73 overnight places are available there. The hut can be reached with the Eng mountain bus from Bad Tölz or Lenggries seven times a day on weekends and public holidays, and twice a day until October 16th. Landlady Miriam Däubler offers not only classic but also vegetarian, gluten- and lactose-free dishes. The campaign is financed from the DAV climate fund and with the support of the DAV partner Globetrotter.
