Nothing ventured, nothing gained. So, Velimir Zajec tries. The president of Dinamo Zagreb, who is trying to repatriate Luka Modric to the country, has decided to pay for an advertising page in the Spanish newspaper Marcawhere we see a Dinamo jersey flocked with the name of the Real Madrid player and his famous number 10.
At the end of his contract with the White House in June, Luka Modric has not yet communicated about his future. So, on the side of Dinamo Zagreb, we are trying to bring back the local child, who had worn the jersey of Modri (the blues) at the age of 16, before leaving for England and Tottenham in 2008.
Velimir Zajec is also trying to do like the rival of Hadjuk Split, who managed, during the last transfer window, to bring back the big names of Croatian football, such as Ivan Perisic, Marko Livaja or Nikola Kalinic. But they didn’t need to pay for a page of advertising in different newspapers.
