Tips for children during the Pentecost holidays in Munich – Munich

Holidays at home and your friends are away? Before you start binge-watching Netflix & Co., you could also come up with your own film ideas: The Munich Film Workshop will teach all young filmmakers between the ages of eleven and 15 how to realize them from May 27th to 31st. Regardless of whether you have or without previous experience, everything that fascinates about film and filmmaking can be tried out here. During the course, the children and young people produce their own short films in small groups – exciting, funny, romantic or scary – whatever the young filmmakers like. And of course there is a real film premiere at the end, where the resulting works are shown to parents, siblings and friends. Information about the process and dates is available below www.filmseminare.de/ferienkurs to find.

An unusual type of animated film with Lego dots in the lead role is created during a workshop day in the children’s art house: people create their own motifs on Lego plates, which are then rolled in with paint and rotated through a printing press. In the afternoon, a short stop-motion animation film with Lego Dots in the lead role will be filmed (May 28th). Out of the children’s art house and into the art gallery on May 23rd we will visit the exhibition “Viktor & Rolf – Fashion Statements”: Equipped with sketchbooks, the participants will first be able to admire the around 100 colorful and extravagant exhibits by the Dutch fashion designer duo Viktor & Rolf. Inspire Rolf. Back in the studio in the Kinderkunsthaus, you will then design your own outfit out of paper (May 23rd). Information about these and other full-day Pentecost holiday workshops for school children aged six to twelve can be found at www.kinderkunsthaus.de.

Rafting on the “Bavarian Amazon”

The Feierwerk’s Whitsun holiday program also offers lots of activities and workshops for children and young people from May 18th to June 2nd in its facilities from Freiham to Sendling to Schwabing. In the Jungle Palace workshop “Chocolate Magic” you can cover fruits with chocolate or make your own chocolate bars (May 23rd); You can acquire a “sewing license” at the South Pole Station (May 22nd), or you can learn to build movable automatons out of wood in a two-day workshop (May 23rd/24th). For those who are more drawn to the outdoors, the rafting tour on the Amper on May 18th is the right choice: under professional supervision, the participants travel the “Bavarian Amazon”, drift through rapids and jump from a bridge into the water. All courses below www. Feierwerk.de.

“Get out on the pitch and get the ball!” is the motto at the Munich Football School (MFS), whose business the economist David Niedermeier and the sports scientist Michael Schuppke took over over 20 years ago. Since then, they have enabled football-loving children to practice their sport independently of a club – with a lot of fun in the competition, which should take place with as little pressure as possible to achieve results. Training takes place in small groups with a maximum of twelve players who are used in all positions – including the goalkeeper. During the Whitsun holidays they offer outdoor holiday camps lasting several days, for which they cooperate with Philipp Lahm’s parent club FT Gern, SV Helios-Daglfing, FC Deisenhofen or Fortuna Unterhaching, who make their places available to the MFS. All information below www.muenchner-fussball-schule.de.

The Ecological Education Center, which is run by the Munich Environmental Center and the Munich Adult Education Center, also goes outdoors during the Whitsun holidays: on May 21st, the motto is “Find the Dragon’s Treasure” – the search leads across the varied ÖBZ grounds Englschalking. The next day, the little naturalists can transform themselves into animals while role-playing; When “cooking without electricity and outside” is on the program, not only are fruits and herbs collected, but also delicacies such as stick bread dough and vegetable skewers are prepared over an open fire (May 23rd). All events below www.oebz.de.

And it should also be early enough to register for the all-day Lilalu holiday workshops. During the Whitsun holidays they take place in parallel in Neuhausen and Schwabing in the first week (May 21st to 25th) and in Neuhausen and Sendling in the second week (May 27th to 31st). Five to thirteen year olds can try out acrobatics & floor exercises, acting, sports trampoline, breakdancing and trapeze. At the end of each workshop, the young talents perform together and show what they have learned during the week – then it’s “clear the ring” for the young artists. A current overview of the space available can be found at lilalu-ticketshop.de.
