Tiny house in Bavaria: The dream of a mini house – Bavaria

More and more people want to shed ballast, tiny houses are in vogue. And in Ursberg, Swabia, they offer people with disabilities the opportunity for a self-determined life. And the residents never want to leave.

Of

Anna Gunther, Ursberg

Steffi Mayer, 32, undercut, pink-blonde strands, stands in front of her little house in the sun and sweeps. Maltese bitch Emma jumps around her legs. When visitors come, it has to be tidy. Mayer’s bright red house immediately catches the eye when you turn into the ring road of the Dominikus-Ringeisen-Werk (DRW) in the Swabian town of Ursberg. She has lived in the tiny house since 2018, behind her are six others, each painted a different color – like a Scandinavian holiday resort.
