Tiny Apartments: British cousins sell livable shipping containers

Watch the video: Living in a small space — British cousins sell livable shipping containers.

This luxurious looking apartment is actually a converted shipping container.
English cousins Eddy Peet and Freddy Goodwill transform containers into luxurious small living spaces.
Protective equipment was originally delivered to a local company in the containers as part of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Since it is cheaper to keep containers for overseas deliveries than to send them back, there are many empty shipping containers.
This gave the two cousins the idea for the conversion.
The conversion of a container apartment takes about three months and costs £40,000 each.
They can be adapted to suit individual needs and have a bathroom at one end and a bedroom at the other end. In the middle is an open kitchen with a living area.
It is suitable as permanent living space, but also as temporary accommodation.
In April 2022, the duo finally opened a company together in West Sussex.
“We founded a start-up company specializing in the customization of shipping containers. For both personal and commercial use.” – Eddy Peet vs. SWNS
So far, the two have carried out most of the work on the containers themselves.
Complementing this, they have a team of contractors such as plumbers and eclectics.
“We do all the social media and marketing ourselves.” – Eddy Peet vs. SWNS
The containers are currently being sold as small houses. In the future, however, Eddy and Freddy want to focus on the production of holiday homes.
