Salim Berrada, “the Tinder rapist” as the press nicknamed him, was convicted Friday of having raped and sexually assaulted 15 women he met on dating sites and social networks, and sentenced by the criminal court to a sentence 18 years of imprisonment.
For two other women, the court acquitted him, considering that the evidence was lacking and that doubt should benefit him. The court retained the “particularly organized character”, a “proven operating mode” and the “serial nature of these crimes and offenses”, judged “particularly worrying”, as was the number of victims, indicated President Thierry Fusina.
