The small town of Burgaud, to the north west of Toulouse, saw an influx during the night from Saturday to Sunday which did not go unnoticed. In this peaceful village, where there is no shortage of quiet corners, revelers had the idea of renting a large capacity gîte throughout the weekend to transform it into an underground paying nightclub for an evening. The rental companies were probably unaware of what was going on in the midst of the curfew.

An idea that worked since more than a hundred people came from far away to be able to pay for several hours the opportunity to dance and drink shots, without barrier gestures, and completely illegally according to information from La Dépêche du Midi.

But all these little people did not go unnoticed, even if measures had been taken to remain as discreet as possible. Alerted by music and a stream of cars, the neighborhood alerted the gendarmerie. By intervening on the spot, the soldiers discovered the pot aux roses and distributed the fines of 135 euros, in particular for non-compliance with the curfew.

“The two organizers were taken into custody for endangering the lives of others and the owners who rented the cottage were summoned,” confirms a spokesperson for the Haute-Garonne gendarmerie.
