They mistakenly ship their cat in an Amazon package

Stowaway passenger. Last Monday, Cheryl, an American living in the state of Utah, on the east coast of the United States, told the incredible story that happened to her sister’s cat, Carrie. When she thought she had permanently lost her kitten, named Galena, Carrie received a call that gave this banal story an incredible side.

For nearly a week, Cheryl helped her sister Carrie search for her young cat, who had disappeared without a trace from her home in Lehi, Utah. “We spent days looking for her in every bush, in the well, in the nooks and crannies of their neighborhood and surrounding areas,” Cheryl says on her Facebook page. Very pious, the two sisters accompanied their search with prayers “so that Galena would be found safe and sound.”

Six days in a box without eating or drinking

All in vain, until the day Carrie received a call from a woman living in California, more than 1,000 km from home. This woman, who is employed in an Amazon logistics warehouse, explains to him that she found the cat locked in a box. The employee freed the animal and took it to a veterinarian, who was able to identify its owners using its electronic chip.

According to Cheryl, Galena hid in the return box of a product purchased by her sister. The latter had closed and sent the package without realizing that her pussy was inside. “She then survived for more than six days, without food or water, and with limited air, locked in the box in the back of an Amazon truck,” Cheryl still marvels.

Carrie and her husband jumped on a plane to pick up the cat, kindly looked after by the Amazon employee. Galena, in good health, has found her little family and everyone is happy. For Cheryl, there is a lesson to be learned from this story: “Never forget to microchip your pets and always check your Amazon boxes. »
