Sometimes it just has to be something sweet

Sometimes it’s the little things that become everyday saviors. Even among the foods there are some that should not be missing at home.

1.Coffee, coffee, coffee (milk and sugar)

Don’t we really need to say much, do we? The only important thing is: always have a new pack in stock in the cupboard!

2. Apple juice

Yes, there is a lot of sugar in juice, but apple juice spritzer is probably one of the most popular drinks among children. And if you start early enough, you can dilute the juice so much that it consists almost entirely of water – and the children are still happy. In the end it is the dose that makes the poison.

3. Muesli

Healthy, uncomplicated and quick breakfast that you can put on the table the evening before, that is suitable for all age groups and even the youngest can fill their bowls by themselves. If you also want to save yourself vacuuming afterwards, simply prepare over-night oats the evening before.

4. Apples and cucumber

Healthy snacks to cheer on in between. Most children like to eat one of the two.

5. Cookies and Pretzels

Well, every now and then a biscuit is okay, you can buy organic and with little sugar. The same applies to pretzels, just with less salt, or even better: with sesame. They’re great when you’re hungry again on the playground and it’s almost unbearable. Likewise the shouting. And teenagers are usually happy to have something to nibble on when friends come by.

6. Gummy bears

Every now and then a candy is okay, we think … as leverage when the rubbish needs to be removed quickly, the apple still needs to be eaten or the room needs to be tidied up. Good barter, right? And yes, of course that shouldn’t be the currency, but sometimes jacket and shoes are put on faster when a small reward is waiting. In contrast to chocolate, rubber animals also make less mess.

7. Sparkling wine

Yes, champagne! Sometimes it helps stressed parents better than food for the nerves, when the small child takes everything with them in the defiant phase or the teen is in a medium-depth crisis. It’s even more fun when you share the bottle of sparkling wine with someone who has suffered from it. Then everything is only half as bad. But please don’t overdo it, otherwise it may be much worse afterwards!

8. Noodles

The savior of food. Made quickly, edible at any time and there is always something to serve with it. In an emergency, ketchup and cheese.

9. Fish fingers

Similar to pasta. Cooking with very little effort. By the way, we always just throw the little chopsticks in the oven instead of the pan, because they hardly need any supervision, they don’t drip in fat and still taste good.

10. French fries

After all, you need something with the fish fingers … Or just like that, if there is no time to cook, the refrigerator is empty, but the day is very packed.

11. Baking mix

One for all cases. If the in-laws are at the door unannounced, friends spontaneously invite each other over for coffee, the teenage child brings visitors home with them. You can always score with cake. If in doubt, the finished product from the freezer or bag will do the same. The main thing is that you have something to offer and that you have little stress and time invested. Because we parents rarely have time and when we do, we prefer to spend it with a book or in the bathtub than at the stove.

12. Popcorn

For spontaneous film evenings with family, friends or alone. Depending on the age of the child and the taste of the parents, you can enjoy it salty, sweet or buttery.

13. Lavender tea

For the inner center and the days when the nerves are bare, but schnapps seems somehow inadequate.
