They have teamed up again: cabaret artist Gerhard Polt and the Well brothers celebrate a happy resurrection at the Kammerspiele in Munich.
Gerhard Polt is back at the Munich Kammerspiele – with his new play “A scheene Leich”. Directed by Ruedi Häusermann, Polt and the Well brothers brought an amusing and bitterly angry comedy about the death of undertaker Pius Brenner to the stage, with lots of brass band music, harp, accordion and an amateur choir. The premiere took place on Saturday evening and was greeted with lots of laughter and applause by the audience in the packed theater.
Polt hands out nasty digs at the relatives who send their elderly off to a home. To the state that simply looks the other way when it comes to some scandals. To the society in which death and grief no longer have a place. And to the people who smell a business everywhere. A bitter pleasure with Polt’s usual tips, which Karli, Michael and Stoffer Well complemented musically with the help of an amateur choir, from the clarinet to the trumpet and the harp to the deep tuba.
Twelve more performances are planned until the end of March. If you still want a ticket, you shouldn’t wait too long. More than half of the performances are already sold out.
