Before Corona, Stefanie Hoke was on the road a lot. Business trips and assignments in the company headquarters of her customers were a matter of course for the management consultant. But during the pandemic, her employer, the Boston Consulting Group, switched entirely to digital collaboration for many projects. And Hoke took a liking to the home office. “This saves me travel times and hotel stays and allows me to have breakfast and dinner with my daughter,” says the 32-year-old. She has decided to question carefully whether a business trip is really necessary even after the pandemic.
