Lena, Alvaro Soler and Wincent Weiss have formed an alliance. “The Voice Kids” will soon show whether they are successful.
Ears pricked up, the time has come: The twelfth season of the singing casting show “The Voice Kids” starts exclusively on Joyn on March 15th and can then also be seen on Sat.1 a week later, on March 22nd, at 8:15 p.m. The broadcaster announced this on Sunday.
After Smudo (56) and Michi Beck (56) from the Fantastischen Vier were successful for the third time in the search for the best young singing talents, Wincent Weiss (31), Lena Meyer-Landrut (32) and Álvaro Soler (33) come up with something.
Declaration of war on the Fantas
In order to grab the throne, the three hapless coaches have forged an alliance. “Alvaro, Wincent and I are doing everything we can to ensure that we have a better chance than the Fantas this year. At a certain point you have to join forces because they seem to have a strength that you have no chance against alone,” explains Lena Meyer-Landrut on this.
Colleague Alvaro Soler is more specific: “We have founded an alliance and call it ‘the WAL-lianz’: That stands for W-incent, A-lvaro and L-ena. Our main motive is that the Fantas don’t win this year,” he explains the plan. “It doesn’t matter which of the three of us wins, as long as it’s not the Fantas,” the Spanish-German pop singer continued. Smiling mischievously, he adds: “If I win myself, that’s of course best.”
Wincent Weiss is less combative: he actually grants everyone everything – including the Fantas the triple. But: “I just don’t begrudge myself the loss anymore. Because it’s really starting to hurt that I’m here for the fourth time and haven’t won once yet – and I’d love to,” says the Schleswig-Holstein native.
Smudo and Michi Beck dismantle “this WAL alliance”
Michi Beck and Smudo take Lena, Wincent and Alvaro’s brotherhood calmly: “Allying against us is just banter, because everyone fights for themselves.” They say about “this WAL alliance” that their coaching colleagues have formed: This “association of losers only lasts until you want to win a talent for yourself.”
Which coach can actually convince in the blind auditions will soon be shown on “The Voice Kids”.
“The Voice Kids” is an offshoot of the casting show “The Voice of Germany” and is aimed at 7 to 15 year old participants. The first season aired in spring 2013.
