Military maneuvers against the background of the conflict with Russia continue in Eastern Europe. US President Joe Biden plans to send 3,000 military reinforcements to Eastern Europe in support of NATO forces “in the coming days”, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby announced on Wednesday. In detail, it is “1,000 soldiers currently stationed in Germany who will be repositioned in Romania in the coming days”, she indicated.
In addition, 2,000 troops from the 82nd Airborne Division, the US military’s main rapid reaction force, will be sent to Germany and Poland, John Kirby said. Of this number, 1,700 will be repositioned in Poland, the others being responsible for participating in the coordination of American forces in Germany, the Pentagon said.

In Romania, American soldiers will join the 900 of their brothers in arms currently deployed in the country and the forces that France has decided to send to the country. “The United States will continue to consult and coordinate with France and all of our allies to ensure that we complement each other in our respective deployments,” noted John Kirby.
“I want to be very clear: these are not permanent moves. They are designed to meet current circumstances. Moreover, these forces will not fight in Ukraine,” he stressed. “These moves are clear signals to the world that we are ready to reassure our NATO allies and determined to defend them against any aggression,” he said.
