A flood. On Monday, the record for precipitation that fell in one day was broken in Lyon, with 105.9 mm of water recorded at the weather station in Bron. Or the equivalent of a month of rain. The previous record dated from September 7, 2010, a day during which 104.1 mm of rain fell in twenty-four hours,
according to Météo France.

In the Rhône, where a call for caution had been launched at the prefecture due to possible overflows of the Saône and Gier, the firefighters were in great demand, with a hundred calls recorded between Monday and Tuesday morning for locals flooded.

In the east and south of Lyon, several roads were submerged and remained difficult to pass on Tuesday morning. These heavy rains did not result in any injuries in the department, still placed in vigilance by Météo-France in the face of the risk of floods.
