RTL is coming up with a number of innovations in the current and the 2024 TV season. Those are the station’s plans.

Sonja Zietlow (55) gets a new reality format: At this year’s Screenforce Days, RTL announced its program for the 2023/2024 TV season – and also revealed a few new features. These are the program schedules of the station.

“The Traitors” with Sonja Zietlow

With “The Traitors – Trust Nobody!” RTL has added a new reality show to its program. In the show, 16 celebrities meet in a French castle, three of them are traitors. The spectators are accomplices, but the other candidates have to find out in several rounds who is playing the wrong game. The winner receives prize money at the end. Sonja Zietlow moderates the treacherous spectacle. It is not yet known which stars will be there and when the show will be shown on television.

Anniversary for “The Ultimate Chart Show”

For Oliver Geissen (53) there is reason to celebrate this year: “The Ultimate Chart Show” is celebrating its 20th anniversary – of course with an anniversary edition, which is also the 170th show. Many retrospectives with numerous guests are planned. Details following.

“Competition in 4 walls” with Eva Brenner

Craftsmen fans will get their money’s worth thanks to the new program “Competition in 4 Walls – The Ultimate Construction Challenge”. In the show, four teams of hobby craftsmen have to create a high-quality and comfortable living environment from four shell construction apartments – in just six weeks. The whole thing is supervised by expert Eva Brenner (47). In addition, the two celebrities Peter Klein (56) and Yvonne Woelke (41) should help with the renovation. The two recently made headlines with an alleged affair. The format can be seen from summer 2023.

“Miss Merkel” continues

After the first film “Miss Merkel – Ein Uckermark-Krimi” (also available on RTL+) has proven to be a huge success, RTL has now officially confirmed that a new case is waiting for Katharina Thalbach (69). Once again she goes on the hunt for criminals with humorous crime entertainment. It is still unclear when the sequel will come out.

Ü40 specials on “Take Me Out”

For autumn 2023, dating fans can look forward to two over 40 specials from “Take Me Out” with Jan Köppen (40). A “Boys Boys Boys” special is also planned again. The XXL primetime editions will again be moderated by Chris Tall (32) and are planned for spring 2024.

Guarantee of success “DSDS”

In addition, a few burning questions about the 21st season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” have been answered. Accordingly, the anniversary season with Dieter Bohlen (69), which was originally supposed to be the final, went so well that RTL decided to start another round with the pop titan. Next to him, Pietro Lombardi (31) will be on the jury again. New in season 21: The age limit has been lifted so that all potential superstars aged 16 and over can apply for the castings.

These shows are getting a new season

In addition to the newly announced formats and specials, RTL is also sticking to existing shows. A third season of “Big Bounce – The Trampoline Show” will air in summer 2023. From autumn 2023, RTL fans can look forward to an eighth season of “Ninja Warrior Germany” and the 19th season of “Bauer sucht Frau”. The year 2024 begins with the 17th season of “I’m a Celebrity – Get Me Out of Here!”. In addition, another edition of “RTL Tower Jumping” and new police cases in “Alarm for Cobra 11” are planned for next year.
